Ann Chynoweth has worked in the animal protection movement for 13 years. She worked for PETA for three years, as a researcher (primarily regarding animal experiments) and director of grassroot campaigns. Ann graduated from Vermont Law School and worked at the Animal Legal Defense Fund for two summers. After school she worked on fundraising and campaigns for In Defense of Animals.

Currently Ann works for The Humane Society of the United States, as she has for the past 8 years.  She was counsel for HSUS' Wildlife Land Trust and then the Investigations department, but is now director of the animal cruelty and fighting campaign.
